It is official. I have fallen in love with the art of Yoga.
I absolutely love it and I HAVE COMPILED A LIST OF WHY YOGA IS AMAZING AND YOU SHOULD DO IT
Wow. I've been obsessed with lists lately.
Why Yoga Rocks
1. Yoga pants are amazing
Okay I know this is probably one of the whitest things I could say, but it's true. There're cheap, comfortable, and you can find a ton of different styles that suit you.
2. Yoga is an amazing stress reliever
The basis of yoga quite literally IS stress relief. Believe me, in the midst of High School, it's easy to let the stress consume you. But doing some downward dogs and breathing exercises has been proven to reduce that stress and help you clear your mind.
3. It's cheap
Okay, there are plenty counter examples to this like yoga classes and mats, but if you do it my way, the simple, in the empty space in my room with YouTube videos, It costs me nothing. If you want to do yoga classes be my guest, but I find you get the same experience without having to pay a fortune.
4. Flexibility
Okay, I am the most inflexible girl alive, and I have found Yoga has actually helped with that. It's amazing! Study shows you can improve your flexibility by 35% in just 8 weeks of doing yoga regularly
5. It's fun!
I hate running more than anything. If there is a way to stay fit and avoid running at all costs, sign me up, and that's what yoga is. It detoxes your body, and it's really fun! Get a group of friends and do it together for even more fun!
Okay realizing now these are pretty well-known facts about Yoga, but I felt like writing, so here you go..
Here are some of my favorite yoga videos on YouTube. They aren't hard, and are perfect for beginners.

So there is my little yoga rant. Go ahead and try it if you have the chance! I've become a yogi, so there's quite a good chance you might too!
Thanks!

2015
Hey!
So I'm sure you're all aware 2015 is upon us. It's crazy for me, because at the beginning of 2014 I was a completely different person than I am now.
If you haven't already made a new years resolutions list, here's mine. I call my post list New Year's Goals, not because I don't need to change, but because goals for me are something you can achieve.
SO HERE ARE MY GOALS FOR 2015
Drink More Tea
Exercise every day
Eat Healthier (more fruit, more vegetables)
Explore more of Colorado
Find a good place to write
Do something creative every Day
Go on more adventures
Read More good books
Choose to Be Happy, Every Single Day

So there are my goals. I tried to keep it as simple as possible. Feel free to take some, if not all for our own new yea'rs goals.
I also compiled a list of things to remember in 2015. This year I found myself crying and freaking out over things that simply did not matter.
SO HERE ARE SOME THINGS TO REMEMBER NEXT YEAR
1. Inspiration is everywhere; you just have to look hard enough.
2. You are the author of your own life. If you don’t like your story, change it
3. Everything happens for a reason.
4. Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.
5. Live the life you’ve imagined.
6. You’re going to be left out, talked about, lied to and used. You have to decide who is worth your tears and who is not.
7. Choose to be happy. It drives people crazy.
8. Let go of who you’re supposed to be and embrace who you really are.
9. Life isn’t always beautiful, but it’s a beautiful ride.
10. Don’t sweat the small stuff. None of this will matter in a few years.
11. Always watch the sunrise, the sunset and always look up at the stars at night.
12. You don’t need anyone to be happy. If you’re lonely, go hang out with friends.
13. Go out of your comfort zone.
14. Life is too short to have everything perfect.
15. Keep an open mind
16. If someone’s in the past, chances are they deserve to stay there.
17. Never let your fear decide your fate.
18. Make new memories every day.
19. Stay strong. Make them wonder how you’re still smiling.
20. You always have a choice.
21. You are beautiful.
22. Stop worrying about things you can’t change. It’s a waste of energy.
23. Time can heal anything.
24. Seize opportunities when they reveal themselves
25. Always be grateful. Say thank you whenever you can.
26. Be nice to everyone.
27. Live. You are only in high school once. Do your school work, but don’t forget to enjoy yourself.
Again, feel free to steal some, if not all. I think its important to have a list of quotes that make you remember it's going to be okay.
Comment some of your new years goals below, and some good books to read (I haven't exactly read a book since this summer)
Thanks!

Hello World!
Hi!
The names Madison.
This is my blog. I hope you like the colors and the background, I put a lot effort into it.
So I'm sure your wondering what this blog is about and why I'm doing it in the first place.
This blog is my life. It's all about getting through highschool, and possibly enjoying it in the meantime. Why am I doing this blog? First, I'm bored. Second, so many people have forgotten what its like to be a freshman in high school. Maybe this blog can bring back some memories, and hopefully it helps me make some!
If you've made it this far, I already like you. So, I guess I should share a little about myself.
I am 14 years old, I live in Colorado, and I dream of traveling the world someday. Sure, all teenagers dream of it, but I've already planned a road trip around America, as well as a backpacking trip across Europe for my friends and I.
If traveling were free, you'd never see me again.
But it's not. And I'm stuck in an insignificant town forced to decide my life when I barely know who I am.
See? My first post and I'm already getting deep.
So thank you, for checking out my blog in the first place. I appreciate it.
If you have any suggestions, comments, concerns, please comment!
This is my first post on my first blog, and I gurantee there are many more to come!
Stay Awesome!
